Exhibition: Between Shells and Surfaces
Presentation of installations that require no explanatory text. They speak for themselves. We show.
Exhibition: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Hauptplatz 8, Studio 2 (H8.04.24)
In theProjectcourse, we explore envelopes and surfaces—material and image. Our starting point is metaphors, which we translate into materiality, light, and spatial situations. The project is designed as a process-oriented study. The focus is on creative work: experimenting, observing, and further developing various approaches to expression. Theory and text are deliberately kept in the background.
Participating students: EmmaBockelmann, Daryna Bondarenko, Martin Colov, Nino Gonashvili, Lilli Ingruber, Clara Sofie Müller, Elena Sonnleitner, Lea Trathnigg
Project supervision: Katharina Mayrhofer
Location: University of Art and Design Linz, Hauptplatz 8, Studio 2 (H8.04.24)

Closing Reception: For Whom Is It Made?
We cordially invite you to the closing event for the master’s students’ semester projects presented as part ofLabor I.
Closing event: 3:30 p.m., Hauptplatz 8, 4th floor, central corridor
Labor I focused on questions of inclusive design and communication in the context of Open Design. How can visual strategies be used to challenge existing boundaries and open up new possibilities? The goal was not only to apply existing technologies and methods, but also to explore new avenues of collaborative design and to investigate what design practices and processes might look like in an accessible world.
