The Brunch Lecture, already an established format at Interface Cultures, combines informal exchange and academic discourse. The morning begins with a brunch in the Interface Cultures kitchen, which offers space for discussion and networking. This will be followed by a lecture in the Lecture Room by Dr. Thomas Grill on the topic of Dirty Spaces - of artists, relational spaces and complex music machines.

In his art and research, Thomas Grill deals extensively with the ambivalent relationship between people, technology and the environment and, more recently, specifically with (long-term) partnerships between artists and - sometimes complex - music machines. The focus is particularly on aspects of getting to know each other, building trust, spiritual relationships, disappointment, confrontation and abuse. The works focus in particular on the contrast between the "smooth" media worlds represented by models, algorithms and hardware and the noisy, chaotic, imperfect, "dirty" real world - in a speculative examination of syntheses and differences between the two domains.

The Crafting Futures Lab opens its doors to give an insight into what goes on in the lab, such as the application of new technologies and experimentation with materials.

During a guided tour of the studios and workshops, we provide insights into everyday life at Fashion & Technology: the production of a pattern is shown in the studio course, the production of biomaterials is presented in the in-house Bio-Lab, visitors can create their own knitting patterns in the knitting studio and the CLO fashion design software is presented in the digital lab.

Visitors can try out this special graphics technique for themselves at the print station in the Visual Arts Education department. In our teaching materials workshop, we invite visitors to reflect on their own experiences of teaching creative subjects. What art and creative practices have we come across? Which artists, which topics would we like to discuss? Which artistic or symbolically creative practices would we have liked to have heard about, talked about or engaged with earlier? We, the Department of Didactics - Mediation - Research, invite you to think outside the box of European, male and classical art history and conventional topics. We are interested in what concerns you in your everyday life and your life realities in relation to artistic, media and creative practices. We will provide images, artists, examples and materials to create with and all those who take part can take their subjective utopian curriculum with them as a folder.

Based on Hannah Höch and other protagonists of the Dada movement, Futurism and Surrealism - all of which were avant-garde movements between revolt and utopia - this year we are looking at montage, assemblage and collage in a wide variety of media.

Cutting up, reassembling and recomposing, the hybrid, the surreal, the poetic and distortion have become increasingly visible in art history in times of political upheaval. De-stability seems to find expression in these forms of artistic practice and at the same time make new systems, concepts of the body and beings visible and tangible.

We deal with sound in relation to the oscillating interaction of SOUND and DESIGN - in various media and creative forms, but also in connection with visual arts, graphics, journalism and much more. Fimomania Working with polymer clay according to Wabi-Sabi principles. Polymer clay is a malleable plastic that hardens through baking and has inspired artists, designers and jewelry makers worldwide and developed into a fascinating art form. By exploring traditional techniques such as caning (glass and sugar art), mokume-gane (metalworking) and coiling (ceramics) and craft traditions, fascinating possibilities arise to reinterpret existing objects with polymer clay. Not only are repairs carried out, but creative improvements are also implemented, giving the piece a very personal history. Inspired by the Japanese principle of wabi-sabi, which celebrates the beauty in imperfection.

The course accompanies and supports the artist Ines Doujak* from the beginning of March to mid-May in the preparation of a parade that will take place on the penultimate day of the Lentos exhibition in Linz. Guided tour of the studios and workshops of Fashion & Technology

During a guided tour of the studios and workshops, we provide insights into everyday life at Fashion & Technology: the production of a pattern is shown in the studio course, the production of biomaterials is presented in the in-house Bio-Lab, visitors can create their own knitting patterns in the knitting studio and the CLO fashion design software is presented in the digital lab.

How does the view through the camera function as a "school of seeing" (G. Deutsch) and how does it document individual experience? Starting from amateur film as a means of securing evidence, we embark on a search for clues in the medium.
