How does an art collection come into being?
What is the difference between private and public collecting?
How diverse are museum collections in 2022?
What about the topic of provenance research and restitution?
How can art collections be preserved for the future?

Students from the Cultural Studies and Media Culture & Art Theories programs at the University of Arts Linz explored these questions in the joint course over the winter semester 2021/22. The blog kunstsammeln.ufg.atwhich was created as a work in progress in collaboration with the Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz, is the result of this search and aims to find answers to the above questions for you.
